Why is it worth conquering Szczeliniec?
It is a mountain unlike any other – flat as a table, surrounded by vertical walls. At the top you will see the famous rocks: “Apeman”, “Camel” and “Mammoth”. You will visit tooHell– a deep gorge where snow can lie even in summer!
🗺️ Step by Step Route: “665 Stairs”
- Approach:From Karłów you follow the yellow trail along the stone steps (there are 665 of them!).
- Shelter:At the top of the stairs there is the “Na Szczeliniec” shelter and brilliant viewing terraces (available without a ticket to the park).
- Paid Route (Reserve):Behind the shelter, you enter the paid tourist route (ticket required!). You go through Hell to Heaven (Southern Terrace).

The National Park has introduced entry limits per hour.BUY TICKETS ONLINEon the PNGS website before your arrival! Tickets may be sold out on site on weekends.
🚗 Logistics
- Parking:In Karłów (paid, approx. PLN 20-30). It is worth driving close to the entrance to the trail.
- Dojazd z Gołąbka:Okay. 50-60 min (via Polanica).
- Children/Pushchairs:You will NOT be able to go up with a stroller (stairs!). Baby carrier only.
- Dogs:NO dogs allowed on the paid route (Reserve).
