Siberian tundra in the Sudetes – a walk on footbridges among insectivorous plants. A nature reserve older than the pyramids!
Why is this place unique?
The microclimate here is similar to that of the Arctic Circle. Dwarf and birch trees grow heresundews– small, red plants that eat insects! The walk takes place on wooden footbridges suspended over the swamp (the peat is up to 8 meters deep).
🗺️ Step by Step Walk (Green Trail)
- From the forest parking lot, you walk 15 minutes to the footbridges.
- You enter a wooden bridge over the swamp.
- You climb the observation tower (you can see the difference between the “sponge” of the peat bog and the forest).
- You’re looking for sundews (they’re the size of a fingernail!).
🎒 Practical Tips
- Trolleys:The footbridges are sometimes narrow and uneven. Better a baby carrier.
- Mosquitoes:This is a swamp. In summer, take a spray!
- Dogs:❌ ZAZAZ (Reserve).
