Why is it worth going underground?
The mine in Nowa Ruda is the most interesting industrial facility in this part of the Sudetes. Here you will learn about the difficult history of “black gold” mining. The biggest advantage isunderground railway– an authentic, loud train that transported miners. The meeting with the Treasurer – the legendary spirit of the mine – also arouses emotions.
🗺️ Course of the Trip
- Museum (Area):The control room (the “brain” of the mine), petrified tree trunks, uniforms.
- Underground (Adit):You put on your helmet. You watch powerful combine harvesters in motion (noise!).
- Trip:A quick train ride through narrow corridors.
